MyCrew - Privacy Policy
Overview
MyCrew ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Ever.
Information We Collect
Account information: email address used to create and secure your account, username displayed to your crew members, and password stored securely by Supabase Auth. Activity data: challenges you create and complete, XP earned, level, streak count, badges unlocked, and crews you belong to. Usage data: app interactions such as challenges marked as done, and device type and operating system for crash reporting only.
How We Use Your Information
To provide and operate the MyCrew service, display your progress and rank within your crew, send you notifications about your crew's activity if enabled, generate AI challenge suggestions relevant to your crew, and improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database platform with row-level security enabled. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are managed by Supabase Auth and are never stored in plain text.
AI Features
MyCrew uses OpenAI's API to generate challenge suggestions. When you request AI ideas, we send a list of your crew's existing challenge titles to OpenAI to avoid duplicates. No personal identifiers such as name, email, or user ID are included in these requests.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared only within your crew, with service providers Supabase and OpenAI solely to operate the app, or when required by law to protect rights and safety.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and activity history will be permanently removed within 7 business days.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and data, and withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@mycrew.app.
Children's Privacy
MyCrew is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Continued use of MyCrew after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
